About
To honor those that suffered and died during the Holocaust and T4 Aktion, PeaceWalkers are now researching and designing a new Peace Path to honor the victims of those that were persecuted by the hands of the Third Reich. Just like the Orange Book, it is important to note that the new European Peace Walk will be apolitical and has no other motivation other than the solemn remembrance of the millions that died during T4 Aktion and the Holocaust.
The new European Peace Walk will be permanent, open all year round and free to walk.
Currently, we have three possible Routes planned that are all rich in natural beauty, culture and history. This summer we will choose the optimal route through Austria, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Poland and make it into a permanent fixture.

T4 Aktion was the prelude to the Holocaust, where men, women and children with physical and mental disabilities were shamefully executed across the Reich. After T4 Aktion, the Holocaust ensued and its horrors spread across Europe. Peoples from all corners of Europe found themselves facing persecution, enslavement and murder. In Auschwitz alone, 1.1 million people were slaughtered, primarily Jewish, but also, Roma, PoWs, Jehovah Witnesses etc...
In fact, anyone who stood in the way of the European obsession of fascism, be it the Italian, French, Bulgarian, Croatian, Romanian, German, Austrian, Hungarian variants of fascism, were sent to Auschwitz to their deaths. In the Occupied Territories ( Ukraine, Belarus, Serbia, Poland etc..) the forces of fascism were even more draconian and ruthless in their labelling and subsequent slaughtering of so-called "undesirables".
We envision people from all across the globe, from all walks of life and of all ages walking together along the European Peace Walk in harmony, unity and peace every summer to remember and honour the victims of the Holocaust.
